Chelsea Day School is a non-profit pre-school for children ages 2 through 5. It was founded in 1981 by its current director, Jean Rosenberg. Play-based learning permeats all aspects of our program. Children play to make sense of their world, to learn about themselves and each other, to develop language, to gain self-confidence and self-control and to understand and express their feelings. We are a safe, caring, diverse community that comes together around our children. Parents partner with us to support each child’s growth and development. Our teachers are skilled Early Childhood Educators who are informed by years of education and experience, and who are guided by a genuine love of their work. Chelsea Day School values intellect, creativity and community. We are committed to building in our children a strong foundation of curiosity, kindness, individual expression and the intrinsic pleasure of learning.
